Inside the Museum, you will find ten noble statues that date back to the Predynastic period, to the Old and Middle Kingdoms several statues of the goddess Hathor & the god Amun that date back to the New Kingdom, a large collection of mummification tools, chairs, crowns, wooden objects, statues of different gods, Kings & Queens dating to the Greco- Roman period. The Museum was completed and inaugurated around 1902 in the heart of Cairo and most of the artifacts & monuments found in the Museum were transported to the Gem. Found in the museum are the total burials of Yuya and Thuya plus Psusennes I, the Narmer Palette celebrating the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt by Narmer, the treasures of Tanis, and a magical comprehensive collection of papyri, sarcophagi, jewelry, among many more great objects.
