Citadel of Qaitbey is an Islamic defensive fortress that was built in 1477 AD by Ashraf Sayf El-Din Qa’itbay. It’s located in Alexandria city, at the same place of the ancient Alexandria Lighthouse and it’s considered one of the strongest fortifications on the Mediterranean Sea Coast.
