The Great Sphinx is a giant statue of a mythical creature with the head of Pharaoh Khafre (2558–2532 BC) and the body of a lion. The statue is thought to have been constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Khafre, who was the son of Khufu. The Sphinx is 73.5 meters (241 feet) long and 20 meters (66 feet) tall, making it one of the largest statues in the world. The Sphinx is carved out of limestone and is thought to have once been painted in bright colors.

The Valley Temple 

The Valley Temple is an extremely important structure located near the Pyramid of Khafre. This temple was used in the funerary rituals of Pharaoh Khafre before it was taken to the pyramid for burial. The temple is constructed from massive blocks of limestone and features intricate carvings and hieroglyphics.
