Day 2
Tour to Abu Simbel Temple by A/C Car
Have your breakfast and join your tour guide to visit one of the most important archeological sites in Aswan:
The two golden temples of Abu Simbel were built by the great pharaoh Ramesses II Ramsess the great (1279-1213 BC) and fully constructed in 1264 BC. The reason for the construction was to immortalize this epic vision and the signing of the first documented peace treaty with the Hittite civilization in 1274 BC. The most amazing thing about them is that this pharaoh wanted his great temple to be lightened twice a year, once on the date of reaching the throne on the 22nd of October and the second time on the 22nd of February on the date of his birthday. The other smaller temple that is 100 m away was dedicated to his wife, Nefertari, the one whom he loved very much and wanted to make special.
Indulge in a scrumptious lunch in Aswan and sample local cuisine while taking in the stunning views of the Nile River.
Experience the charm of Aswan and spend a memorable night discovering the city's hidden gems.
