The Egyptian Museum is one of the most important historical attractions located in the heart of Cairo. It is made of two floors that was officially inaugurated in 1902 to offer the chance for everyone to explore the golden immortal treasures of Cairo.
Overnight
At the end of the second day of your Cairo and Abu Simbel holiday, we will transfer you to Cairo Airport to catch your evening flight to Aswan, subject to availability, and check in at a 5-star hotel for an overnight.
Please note: To ensure a relaxed and premium experience, the visits to both the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and the Egyptian Museum are subject to your domestic flight schedule. Abu Simbel Temple
The enchanting Abu Simbel Temple stand as one of the most majestic archaeological masterpieces commissioned by Pharaoh Ramesses II (1279-1213 BC). The Great Temple was built to honor his vast achievements, such as the famous Battle of Kadesh in 1274 BC, which led to one of the world's earliest known documented peace treaties, later concluded between Egypt and the Hittites. The temple's precise engineering also honors major deities including Ra-Horakhty, Amun, and Ptah, celebrated during the legendary Sun Festival on February 22nd and October 22nd. Adjacent to it, the beautiful Small Temple honors his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari, and the goddess Hathor.
