Giza Pyramids Complex

"Giza Necropolis" is an immortal marvel made of bliss and greatness that contains the three magnificent pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure in addition to six other small pyramids, the magical Sphinx, and the wonderful Valley Temple.

The Great Pyramid

The Great Pyramid of Giza stands as a timeless masterpiece, the tallest structure in the world for over 3,800 years. Commissioned by Pharaoh Khufu, who reigned from c. 2589 to 2566 BC, construction began around 2580 BC and was completed circa 2560 BC to serve as his eternal resting place. Built with astonishing precision, the pyramid was formed from more than 2.3 million limestone blocks and crafted by an estimated 400,000 skilled laborers, embodying the brilliance and ambition of ancient Egyptian civilization.

The Magnificent Sphinx

This timeless hero was established at the Giza Plateau to guard the ancient masterpieces at the complex. The Great Sphinx was one of the most distinctive relics of the ancient pharaohs due to its strange design, since it has a lion's body and Pharaoh Khafre's (2558–2532 BC) head. This abnormal structure was carved out of colossal limestone, and it has a length of 73 meters (240 ft), its height of 20 meters (66 ft), and a width of 19 meters (62 ft).

The Heavenly Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is one of the best-preserved structures from the Old Kingdom, used for the purification and mummification rituals of royal burials in Ancient Egypt. It was erected in the Old Kingdom in 2686 BC, and it acted as a precious source of information about how the mummification processes, a.k.a the opening of the mouth ritual, were performed and the nature of the mortuary rituals.

The Grand Egyptian Museum

The Grand Egyptian Museum will reveal the blessed innovation of this golden civilization that spanned over 5000 years. Everyone will get to cast their eyes on some of the most epic artifacts and monuments that reach a total of 100,000; some have never been put on display before. It is found in the core of the Giza Pyramids Complex, offering the ultimate vision of this blessed civilization.

The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk is one of the symbols that represent the greatness of ancient Egyptian architecture and obelisk carvings that belong to the ruling period of Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC). Its erection started in 1508 BC, and it was carved directly in the granite quarries of Aswan, but it cracked during construction and was never completed.

Philae Temple

Philae Temple was constructed during the reign of Ptolemy II (285–246 BC) and later completed by Roman emperors. This beautifully preserved monument was once threatened by the rising waters of the Nile, but UNESCO undertook a remarkable rescue operation, relocating the entire complex to Agilkia Island to ensure its preservation for future generations.
