Giza Pyramids Complex

Giza pyramids complex is one of the most ancient tourist sites all over Egypt as it contains on its plateau the greatest and the most attractive sightseeing all over Egypt. Such great massive monuments were unsurpassed in height after their construction for thousands of years and still up till now, amaze & enthrall all of us with their overwhelming perfection. While being in Giza Necropolis, you will enjoy visiting:

The Great Pyramid of Khufu

Khufu pyramid is one of the most mind-boggling constructions that have ever been built by a man and there are hundreds of theories that revolve around it. With its size, incomparable way of construction, and amazing beauty, it has become one of the Seven Wonders of the World and to be more specific, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world. Then, you will enjoy visiting:

The Amazing Mythical Sphinx

Among the most interesting statues that have ever been built by the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs is the imaginary Giza Sphinx which has been built during the reign of King Khafre, the son of King Khufu as a sign of power to protect the Pyramids of Giza with its body which is actually a body of a lion and its face that represents the king himself. Right in front of Giza Sphinx, you will find the magnificent:

The Valley Temple

The ancient Egyptians had strong beliefs in the afterlife and they wanted to be fully prepared for such a journey and they also wanted to make sure of preserving the bodies of their dead people as it is so they have invented the mummification and the purification processes of the bodies of their kings and all of those processes were held inside the Valley Temple so you will definitely enjoy spending your time there.

After finishing your amazing tour in Giza Complex, you will head with us to a terrific local Egyptian restaurant to have your lunch meal and then you will continue the rest of your day tour by visiting:

What is really special about Aswan High Dam is that it was built with more than 42.7 billion cubic meters of stone which is actually 17 times the number of stones used to construct the Great Pyramid of Khufu. That is not all as you will also enjoy visiting:

The Unfinished Obelisk

This is one of the great accomplishments of Queen Hatshepsut which was supposed to be transferred to Karnak Temple but it was finally abandoned due to a crack in the rock. The most special thing about the Unfinished Obelisk is that it still till now has the signs of the tools which were used in its construction and it teaches us a lot about the way that was followed in the construction of obelisks in the ancient time.

Philae Temple

Philae Temple is the sacred place of Goddess Isis and it is the most beguiling monument in Upper Egypt because of the exquisite artistry of its reliefs and also for the amazing symmetry of its architecture. It was built at Philae Island but was finally moved to Aglikia Island as it was in great danger of being destructed by the floods.

This was our first trip to Egypt, and we were taken care of by the very friendly and able Trips in Egypt. Our trip consisted of a day visit to Cairo and a 4-day cruise from Luxor to Aswan. All along the way, we were wonderfully guided and informed by the local tour managers, who helped arrange for pickups, check-ins, and checkouts. A special shout-out goes to Mohamed, who went out of his way to make us feel comfortable, and even took us to a very special Koshary eat-out before our train to Luxor!
