His beautiful wife Nefertari was honored in her own temple which is just 100 m away.

The design of the temple reflects the golden classical architecture of the new kingdom (1570-1070 BC) plus it holds some amazing carvings and statues.

Valley of The Kings

The mythical valley of the kings is the most magical archaeological monument ever made in history which is located deep underground in a hidden hill that looks like a ben-ben. The valley of the kings contains 63 tombs all made in the New Kingdom (1550 - 1070 BC) to preserve the riches and legacy of great kings like Ramses the great and Tutankhamun.

Colossi of Memnon

Colossi of Memnon have taken powerful punishment from the forces of nature and time as it was rebuilt many times, especially in the Hellenistic period where it was recognized for the mythical vocal phenomenon. It has the powerful face of Amenhotep III (1391–1353 BC) that was made of quartz to reach the height of 18 m (60ft) and has a weight of 720 tons wide each.
