  • Overnight: Cairo Hotel

You have a wonderful day ahead of you, just get ready for an amazing day of adventure. First, have your delicious breakfast at the hotel, then join your tour guide to witness one of the Seven wonders of the world:

The Giza Pyramids Complex

The Giza Pyramids Complex was built by the kings Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and is the most incredible monument in the world. The Pyramids demonstrate the power of the pharaohs, who were considered divine rulers. The pyramids were designed to protect the mummified bodies of the kings and ensure their eternal life in the afterworld. The pyramids are part of a larger complex that includes temples, cemeteries, tombs, the Workers Village, and the Great Sphinx, which is a colossal statue of a lion with a human head.

The Great Pyramid of Giza

The Pyramid of King Khufu is the only ancient wonder that survives to this day. it was built in 2570 BC as a burial place for Pharaoh Khufu, who ruled over Egypt from 2609 BC to 2584 BC. The pyramid took over 20 years to build and used about 2.3 million stone blocks. Pharaoh Khufu was the second king of the 4th dynasty of the Old Kingdom, and he was the son of Snefru and Hetepheres, and the progenitor of Khafre. The King was known to be a strong king, his pyramid at Giza is the biggest and most wonderful of the three pyramids in the complex which also has the Sphinx and the smaller pyramids of his wife.

The Sphinx

The Great Sphinx is a colossal statue sculpted from a single block of limestone, measuring about 240 feet in length and 66 feet in height. One of the largest ancient statues in the world, it depicts a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. It is believed to represent Pharaoh Khafre, who ruled Egypt in the 26th century BC. The Sphinx symbolized royal power and may have had a religious function connected to the sun god and the pharaoh's afterlife.

The Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is one of the ancient wonders which was built by King Khafre who was the son of King Khufu who built the great Pyramid. The temple dates back to the old kingdom of Egypt (2686 – 2134 BC) which was a period of great achievements. The temple remained hidden for millennia as it was hidden under the desert sands of Giza until the 19th century when it was uncovered by archaeologists. The temple served as a place for the mummification of the body of the King and his family before its burial. The temple also contains statues of Khafre and reliefs of different gods and goddesses such as Hathor and Bubastis.

Lunch Meal

Then, you will have your lunch at a beautiful restaurant with a pyramid / Nile view before visiting:

The Egyptian Museum

The Egyptian Museum is the oldest in the Middle East as it contains more than 170,000 items from ancient Egypt, including the largest collection of Pharaonic relics in the world. The Museum houses the history and culture of Egypt from the Pre-Dynastic Period to the Graeco-Roman Era (5500 BC – 364 AD). The Egyptian Museum was established in 1835 and moved to different locations before settling in its current building in Tahrir Square in 1902. The Museum also demonstrates masterpieces such as the Menkaure Triads, the statue of Ramesses II and Horus, and the mummy of a child.

Have your breakfast box in the early morning before joining your guide in a modern vehicle to witness Abu Simbel Temples by the Nile:

Abu Simbel Temples

Abu Simbel temple is a remarkable archaeological site featuring two colossal rock temples carved out of the cliff face by the Ancient Pharaohs. The larger temple, known as “the Great Temple of Abu Simbel,” was dedicated to the sun gods and the glory of Ramesses II (1279-1213 BC), one of the strongest pharaohs in Egypt. Ramesses II built this temple to honor two important occasions in his life (his birthday and his coronation) as well as to commemorate his victory over the Hittites at the Battle of Kadesh in 1247 BC. The smaller temple was also located at Abu Simbel, and it was a tribute from Ramesses II to his beloved wife, “Queen Nefertari”. This temple was dedicated to “Hathor,” the goddess of love, dance, motherhood, beauty, and music.

Lunch Meal & Overnight

Enjoy capturing the amazing view there before returning to Aswan for your lunch. Then, you will make your way to the train station and board your 1st class train to Luxor to check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Meals: Breakfast Lunch
  • Overnight: Luxor Hotel

You will have your delicious breakfast at our hotel in Luxor before checking out and joining your Egyptologist to visit the most incredible attractions on the East and West Banks of Luxor, such as:

Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple was the place of the divine family of “Amon-Re,” the sun god, “Mut,” his consort, and “Khonsu,” their son who controlled the moon. This gorgeous temple was built over 2000 years from the Middle Kingdom (1971–1926 BC) to the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BC). The hypostyle hall, which had 134 massive pillars, was initiated by Seti I, but most of the work was completed by Ramses II. There is also a wonderful sacred lake that was part of every Egyptian temple. The lake was used for ritual purification, not actual mummification, which occurred elsewhere, and it was also the site of celebrations where the statues of gods would sail on the lake in boats.

Lunch Meal

Then, you will have your tasty lunch in an oriental restaurant before witnessing Royal Pharaonic Burial tombs:

The Valley of the Kings

The ancient Egyptians built huge structures for them to honor their rulers, but they also devoted effort to making secret tombs underground. The Valley of the Kings turned into a sacred cemetery for kings such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Seti I, and even one queen, Hatshepsut, for royal Kings from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties during the New Kingdom of Egypt (1539-1075 BC). The tombs show the complex arrangements for the afterlife where the Pharaohs were assured of eternal existence, and they were believed to join the gods in the afterlife.. The body was mummified to keep it intact so that the immortal soul of the dead could revive it in the afterlife.

Hatshepsut Temple

The queen herself ordered the construction of the Hatshepsut temple to demonstrate her life and rule as a symbol of beauty and power. Her lover designed the temple in the 15th century BC, and he followed the pattern of the temple of Mentuhoteb II, but the temple of the queen is much bigger in every aspect. The temple of Hatshepsut was not only evidence of her successful and peaceful reign, but also a sacred site for her god, “Amun-Ra,” the falcon-headed lord, and as her final resting place before she transferred to the afterlife.

The Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon, two colossal statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, were created to guard the entrance of his mortuary temple. They were meant to ward off any malevolent forces that might threaten the sacred complex. These monumental figures, carved from single blocks of sandstone, depict the seated king alongside his mother, his wife, and the god “Hapy.”
