The Giza Pyramids are ancient monuments that date back more than four millennia. they were built by the ancient Egyptians who wanted to preserve their legacy and ascend to the sky. The Great Pyramid
The Great Pyramid of Giza was built by King Khufu (2609 - 2584 BC) to symbolize his eternal glory. The Pyramid is a masterpiece of his architect “Hemiunu,” who designed it as a burial place and secured its place as the only wonder of the ancient world that still stands today. The Great Pyramid was the largest building ever constructed at the time, as its original height was 147 meters and a base of 230 meters on each side.
The Great Sphinx
The Great Sphinx is a colossal stone sculpture that has a lion's body and a human head. The Sphinx is one of the oldest and biggest monuments of ancient Egypt as it dates back to the reign of King Khafre (2575– 2465 BC) who is believed to be the face of the Sphinx. The sphinx represents the power of the ancient Egyptian civilization, it measures about 240 feet in length and 66 feet in height and was carved from a single piece of limestone.
The Valley Temple
The Valley Temple was a sacred place where the ancient Egyptians performed the rituals of mummification for the kings and queens of the 4th dynasty who ruled Egypt from 2575 to 2465 BC. Abu Simbel Temples
The Great Temples of Abu Simbel were built by Pharaoh Ramesses II (1279–1213 BC) to commemorate his glorious deeds that altered history forever. The temple was finished in 1264 BC and contains many wonderful sculptures and inscriptions that depict scenes from the Battle of Kadesh, highlighting Ramesses II’s strength and leadership in 1274 BC, which is one of his greatest achievements. The second temple honors his beloved wife, Queen Nefertari, and the goddess Hathor.

The High Dam of Aswan
The city of Aswan demonstrates its modern power with the High Dam, which is a colossal structure that was built from 1960 to 1971 under the rule of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. The High Dam is one of the largest embankment dams in the world, as it is 111 meters high, 980 meters wide at its base, and 3,830 meters long. The 12 turbines of the Dam can generate 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
Philae Temple
The construction of the Philae temple started in the late fourth century BC under the rule of Ptolemy II, who was the second king of the Greek dynasty that ruled Egypt after Alexander the Great. The temple was dedicated to Isis, who was the goddess of magic and motherhood and was worshipped by Egyptians and Greeks. The temple of Isis was one of the most sacred sites as it was the center of the cult of Isis, who was believed to have resurrected her husband Osiris and given birth to their son Horus.

The Unfinished Obelisk
The Unfinished Obelisk measures 42m and was left unfinished when the rock developed some fissures during its carving. This obelisk would have been the heaviest one ever made by the ancient Egyptians, as it weighed almost 1100 tons! The Unfinished Obelisk was begun and then given up under Queen Hatshepsut's rule in the 18th dynasty. This obelisk may have been inspired by the Lateran Obelisk, which was erected at Karnak Temple Complex in Egypt and then moved to the Lateran Square of Rome at the end of the Roman Empire.

The Valley of the Kings is thought to have been constructed during the Egyptian Old Kingdom, which lasted from 1539 BC to 1075 BC. The pharaohs of that era wanted to be near Thebes, pharaohs chose this sacred valley near Thebes for their tombs. and prepare for the afterlife. There are over 60 tombs that have been found in the Valley of the Kings, and about 20 of them belonged to kings such as Thutmose, Ramses X or XI, Tutankhamun, and Tuthmosis III.
Hatshepsut Temple
Hatshepsut Temple is a magical example of ancient history, and it demonstrates the great achievements of a woman who ruled Egypt with strength. Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458 BC) built this temple in 1479 BC to pay tribute to “Amun,” the god of creation, and to celebrate her legacy.
