Aswan's Gateway to Wonders

Aswan Tour – Trips in Egypt

Your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Aswan in the morning and take you by a modern vehicle to witness some of the most amazing attractions in Aswan such as:

Philae Temple

The Ptolemaic dynasty of ancient Egypt constructed Philae Temple to honor “Isis” the goddess of magic, birth, and healing, her son Osiris, and her husband “Osiris” in the 7th century BC. Our Solo travelers can observe the intricate temple walls that depict scenes from Isis mythology such as Isis resurrecting Osiris, and embalming Osiris after his demise.

The High Dam of Aswan

The High Dam was built from 1960 to 1970 with the help of more than 30,000 workers and engineers and more than 18 million cubic meters of material. The dam is 3600 meters long, 111 meters high, and 980 meters wide at its base. The dam formed Lake Nasser which is one of the biggest man-made lakes in the world as it is 550 kilometers long and covers 5,250 square kilometers of land.

The Unfinished Obelisk

There is an obelisk that was never finished in an old quarry in Aswan. The Unfinished Obelisk was made from Aswan pink granite which is a hard and strong stone that the Egyptians liked. The obelisk would have been more than 41 meters tall if it was done, but there was a crack in the stone that made it break, and the work had to stop.

The Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings lies below the surface of the Theban Necropolis where 63 heavenly tombs of the most powerful kings, queens, and nobles of the New Kingdom (1570 BC - 1544 BC) from dynasties 18 to 20 are located. The entrance of the valley descends from a mystical hill that looks like the BEN-BEN which is the golden emblem of creation and regeneration by Atum.

Hatshepsut Temple

The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut was built on terraces over a period of 13 years as it started from the seventh year of Hatshepsut’s reign. The building plans of the temple changed many times during this time, however, the design of the temple was inspired by the Temple of “Mentuhotep II” which was constructed 600 years before. However, the temple had a unique layout of its rooms and sacred places.

The Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon stands as a testament to the glory of Amenhotep III, they were built in 1350 BC. They display 107 inscriptions from the Roman period which were written in Greek and Latin that narrate the legend of Memnon who is the king of mythology. The Colossi of Memnon also features sculptures honoring “Hapi” the Nile god, and his wife “Tiye” and mother “Mutemwiya”.
