The Ptolemaic dynasty constructed the Temple of Philae which honored the goddess Isis, Osiris, and Horus. The temple has great significance as it was the final location where the ancient Egyptian faith persisted until 550AD after Christianity arrived. The legend says that the brother of Osiris “Set” murdered him and then scattered the parts of Osiris' body throughout Egypt. Isis gathered her husband's body and revived him.
