After that, you will be transferred by a modern vehicle to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon your arrival, you will be taken to our Nile Cruise to check in, enjoy dinner, and overnight on board.

The High Dam of Aswan

The High Dam of Aswan produced 2.1 gigawatts of electricity from water power which was enough to meet half of the demand of Egypt in 1971 and brought electric power to many villages for the first time. The Unfinished Obelisk

The Unfinished Obelisk of Aswan is the tallest and largest in Egypt if it had been finished. Kom Ombo Temple is a holy temple that was built by Ptolemy VI of the Ptolemaic Dynasty in the 2nd century BC to honor the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. This is a rare case of a temple that is shared by two gods, but it is still an amazing sight as it has many carvings of religious and everyday scenes.

Edfu Temple

The Ptolemaic dynasty constructed Edfu Temple between 237 BC and 57 BC. The temple of Edfu honors “Horus” the god of the falcon, and has many carvings and reliefs that are in the best condition which reveal a lot about the ancient Egyptian beliefs and rituals.

The Valley of the Kings

The Valley of the Kings is a mysterious site of ancient Egyptian tombs where the kings and queens of the New Kingdom were buried (from the 18th to the 20th dynasty). The Hatshepsut Temple is an amazing monument of ancient Egypt that dates back to 1479 BC. The Temple was dedicated to “Hatshepsut” who was a great woman ruler of Egypt. The temple has three terraces of platforms that are carved into the rocks, and its sculptures and carvings show the achievements and events of the life of the Queen.

The Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are two huge statues of King Amenhotep III sitting on his throne that still stand today. Amenhotep III was a pharaoh who ruled in the 14th century BC and had a huge temple complex that was built for himself. The Colossi are well-known for their massive scale and detailed sculptures.

Karnak Temple

Karnak Temple is an ancient Egyptian site that covers a large area and has amazing architecture. The holy temple was built over a long period from 2000 BC to 30 BC, and many different pharaohs added their own features to the site. The Temple of Karnak honors the god Amun-Ra and it has very high pillars, smaller temples for (Mut and Khonsu), detailed sculptures, and a huge hall with many columns.

After enjoying your day in the ancient Capital of Thebes, we will drive you to Luxor Airport to catch your flight to Cairo. Once you arrive at Cairo International Airport, you will be transferred to our hotel to check in for an overnight stay.
