Once you finish your delicious breakfast in the morning at our hotel, your guide will meet you there and take you on a feminist adventure that you will never forget. You will journey back in time and discover the secrets that the powerful rulers of ancient Egypt left for us to gaze at such as:
The Great Pyramid of Giza was built by the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Egypt around 2580–2560 BC and has always attracted curiosity about its connection to queens and goddesses. The position of the Great Pyramid concerning some stars has led to ideas about its connection to the goddess “Isis” who was an important goddess in ancient Egyptian faith.
The Great Sphinx of Giza is thought to have been built during the rule of Pharaoh Khafre in the Fourth Dynasty around 2558–2532 BC. Scholars think that the Great Sphinx was related to the goddess Sekhmet who was a lioness-headed god related to war and protection in ancient Egyptian legend, and her statue could have had a protective function for the pyramids of Giza.
The Valley Temple dates back to the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Egypt around 2575–2465 BC and it played an essential role in the burial ceremonies. The Valley was used for washing and mummifying the corpses of the royal descends including queens like Hetepheres who had a connection to the pyramids of Giza.
Your lunch will be served at a restaurant with a Pyramid / Nile view, then continue your second day by visiting:
The goal of constructing the GEM is to demonstrate Egyptian culture and items from strong queens and goddesses. The Grand Egyptian Museum features Queen Nefertiti who was a beautiful and important figure of the 14th century BCE and had a great role during the Amarna Period. The Grand Egyptian Museum will also emphasize the goddess Isis who was a key figure in ancient Egyptian legends.

Feminist Insights on Historical Icons in Luxor - Back to Cairo
You will enjoy your morning breakfast and check out the hotel. Then, you will join your tour guide to discover Luxor's Feminist Legacy such as:
The Valley of the Kings is famous for being the resting place of the rulers from the New Kingdom period which lasted from around 1539 to 1075 BC. The Valley of the Kings gives a captivating perspective for feminist travelers to explore the mummy of Queen Hatshepsut who was one of the rare female pharaohs of ancient Egypt and reigned during the 15th century BC and you can go beyond the male-dominated story.
Hatshepsut was the fifth pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty who reigned from around 1479 to 1458 BC, she is known for expanding the trade of Egypt and promoting her divine birth and coronation through art and propaganda. Her temple has temples that were dedicated to “Hathor” the goddess of music, dance, love, and motherhood, and “Anubis” the god of mummification and the afterlife. The temple of Hatshepsut demonstrates the role and importance of women in ancient Egyptian society.
The Valley of the Queens demonstrates the amazing tombs of many royal women and children of ancient Egypt. The Valley of the Queens was the burial site of the queens, princesses, and princes of the 18th to 20th dynasties from 1539 to 1075 BC. You will be amazed by the most beautiful tombs in Egypt such as the tomb of Nefertari which is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian art and depicts her as a powerful and divine queen.
Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Luxor before witnessing:
The Colossi of Memnon are two monumental statues of the pharaoh Amenhotep III. The two statues are part of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III which was one of the largest and most important in ancient Egypt. The temple was decorated with images and inscriptions of the mother of the King “Queen Mutemwiya and his wife Tiye”. The Colossi of Memnon were believed to emit a sound at sunrise, which was interpreted as the voice of Memnon greeting his mother Eos.
Then, you will be taken by A.C. vehicle to Luxor Airport to catch your flight to Cairo to check in at our hotel for an overnight stay.
