The Giza Pyramids Complex stands as a magnificent testament to the indomitable spirit of our ancient Pharaohs. The Complex of Giza consists of three main pyramids, The Valley Temple, the Great Sphinx, The tombs of the Queens, and the Worker’s Village which demonstrate the grandeur of the ancient Egyptians. These magical instructions were built by hands that knew no bounds.

The Great Pyramid

Khufu who was the second king of the 4th dynasty commissioned the construction of the Great Pyramid at Giza around 2570 BC. This colossal monument of the King is one of the Seventh Wonders of the World as it rises to a height of 146 meters (481 feet). The Pyramid of Khufu lets us celebrate the women who shaped this ancient civilization.

The Great Sphinx

The majestic Great Sphinx combines the body of a lion with the head of a human which is commonly thought to symbolize King Khafre who commissioned its creation. The lion motif also connects to the goddess “Sekhmet” who was known for her dual roles in healing, war, destruction, and protection.

The Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is an ancient Egyptian edifice that formed an integral component of the complex of King Khafre. Khafre is the builder of the architect behind the second-largest pyramid at Giza. Meritites I is an ancient Egyptian queen from the 4th Dynasty who rests in the middle of the Pyramid of Queens at Giza. Her name translates to "Beloved of her Father”. The beautiful queen was the daughter of King Sneferu and married her (half-)brother “King Khufu”. The intricate reliefs in her tomb provide a glimpse into daily life during that era.

Henutsen’s Tomb

Henutsen is an Egyptian queen from ancient times, she was the wife of Pharaoh Khufu. She held her position during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. You can see amazing inscriptions and statues that were discovered near the Great Pyramid of Giza which provide evidence of her existence. The strong queen played a very important role within the royal family during her era.

After enjoying your day in the Complex of Giza, you will be transferred in an A.C. vehicle to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to Aswan. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to our hotel to check in and overnight.

Despite her ambitious plans, this Obelisk remains incomplete due to a crack that materialized during its extraction from the quarry.

Elephantine Island

Elephantine Island has a special connection with the goddess “Satis”, the name of the goddess also appears as Sathit, Setet, Satit, and Sati. Satis was associated with the flooding of the Nile River and fertility every year. This goddess was depicted as a woman that is decorated with the crown of Upper Egypt and held a scepter and an ankh. You can see magnificent temples that were dedicated to the worship of Satis on Elephantine Island.
