The Great Sphinx is a puzzle as it is shaped like a make-believe creature with a lion's body and a human head. Some people think the head looks like King Khafre, who was a powerful and intelligent pharaoh. The Sphinx's nickname in Arabic is "The Father of Terror" because it's so big. The Sphinx stands about 20 meters tall, equivalent to a 6-story building, and it's all carved from one giant piece of rock.

Spiritual Enlightenment at the Valley Temple

The Valley Temple is where ancient Egyptians prepared pharaohs for the afterlife. Archaeologists have found it to be one of the best-preserved sites where ancient Egyptian burial rituals, including mummification, were practiced. Because they believed Ptah could hear them well, they carved sculptures of him with really big ears everywhere.

Transfer & Overnight

After that, you will be transferred by A.C. vehicle to Cairo International Airport to catch your flight to Luxor. Upon your arrival, we will take you to your hotel to check in and overnight.

The Valley is associated with the royal Egyptians of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties during the New Kingdom.
