Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are also famous for their mysterious "Singing" sound, which was heard in antiquity and often attributed to the statue's supposed ability to greet the rising sun. The sound was later explained as the result of temperature changes causing cracks in the stone to expand.
