Egypt Visa for US Travelers: Complete Guide for Americans

Egypt Visa for US Travelers: Complete Guide for Americans

27 min read | Published: Oct 05, 2026 | Updated: Oct 06, 2026 | TRIPS IN EGYPT

Every journey to the immortal land of wonders and minarets begins with a stamp in your passport, and for Americans, that stamp is easier to get than most people expect. US citizens do need a visa to enter Egypt, but they can buy it online before they fly or pick it up on arrival in a few minutes. There is also a free entry stamp for travelers who stay only at the South Sinai resorts.

This amazing guide explains each of those options in plain terms, using the rules in force in 2026. You will learn what an Egypt visa for US citizens costs after the March 2026 fee change, how the new QR-code visa works at Cairo International Airport, how to apply for the Egypt e-Visa step by step, and which documents to carry. We also cover the special cases: arriving through the Taba border, traveling with children, dual US–Egyptian citizens, diplomatic passports, extensions and overstays.

If you are still planning the trip itself, our guide to traveling to Egypt as an American and our step-by-step article on how to plan a trip to Egypt are good companions to this one, along with our honest answer to is it safe to travel to Egypt and our guide to the best time to visit Egypt.

Quick answer for busy readers:

Question Short answer (2026)
Do Americans need a visa? Yes, except for a free stamp limited to the South Sinai resorts
Cheapest and easiest option e-Visa at visa2egypt.gov.eg: $30 single entry, $65 multiple entry
Visa on arrival Yes: $30 in exact US dollar cash at most airports, or $36 by card through the new digital system at Cairo Airport
How long can you stay? 30 days per entry on a tourist visa
Passport rule Valid for at least 6 months on arrival, with at least 1 blank page

Do US Citizens Need a Visa to Travel to Egypt?

US Citizens Need a Visa to Travel to Egypt - Trips in Egypt

Yes. The US Department of State states plainly that "visas are required for all U.S. citizens to enter" Egypt. The good news is that Americans are among the nationalities allowed to buy a tourist visa on arrival, and they are also eligible for Egypt's official e-Visa. In practice, no American needs to visit an embassy for a normal vacation. For the rules that apply to other nationalities, see our general Egypt entry visa page.

Egypt Tourist Visa Requirements for Americans

To receive a tourist visa, a US traveler needs:

  • A US passport valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date, with at least one blank page for the entry stamp.
  • The visa fee, paid online by card (e-Visa) or at the airport (visa on arrival).
  • A return or onward ticket and hotel bookings or a tour itinerary. These are rarely checked, but the official e-Visa portal lists a travel itinerary and hotel booking or supporting letter as entry requirements, so keep them on your phone or on paper.

A tourist visa is for leisure only. You cannot work on it, and the State Department notes that work and study visas must be obtained before you travel.

How Long Can US Citizens Stay in Egypt?

A standard tourist visa allows a stay of 30 days from the date you enter. That is enough for almost any classic itinerary, from a 3-day Cairo stopover to a full 15-day journey through Egypt.

If you want to stay longer, you can request an extension inside Egypt (see "Can You Extend an Egypt Tourist Visa?" below). If you plan to leave and come back, for example to visit Jordan or Israel in the middle of your trip, choose a multiple-entry visa.

Is Egypt Visa-Free for Americans?

Not for the country as a whole. Egypt's visa-free list is short and mainly covers some Arab nationalities. Americans always need either a visa or the free South Sinai entry stamp described below.

There is one other narrow exception. Egypt has run a free transit visa program for passengers on EgyptAir, Air Cairo or Nile Air with layovers of 8 to 96 hours, and US citizens were listed as eligible. Reports in 2025 said the program had been extended through April 2026. If you plan to use it, confirm with your airline before you fly that it is still running. For a short layover, our Cairo layover tour shows how much you can see between flights.

The South Sinai Visa-Free Exception

Americans flying into Sharm El Sheikh (and some other South Sinai entry points) can choose a free "Sinai Only" entry stamp instead of a paid visa. Wikipedia's summary of Egypt's visa policy, based on the official Timatic database, describes it as valid for up to 15 days for travel to the resorts of Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba, as long as you do not leave those areas. The State Department describes the Taba-border version as a free 14-day visa valid only in Sinai.

The stamp suits a pure beach and diving holiday, such as the things to do in Sharm El Sheikh or a week of snorkeling on the Gulf of Aqaba. Our Sharm El Sheikh travel guide and our article on whether Sharm El Sheikh is safe to visit cover the rest of your planning. It does not cover Cairo, the Giza Pyramids, Luxor, Aswan or Hurghada.

Some excursions inside South Sinai are also unclear. Ras Mohammed National Park has traditionally been treated as outside the zone. The Monastery of Saint Catherine and Mount Sinai area has usually been tolerated, but enforcement varies. The same caution applies to a Colored Canyon and Blue Hole trip or any of the other Sinai tourist attractions away from the coast.

Our advice: if your Sharm holiday includes a Ras Mohammed tour, a flight to Cairo or a Luxor day tour from Sharm, pay for the full visa on arrival. It costs about the price of a dinner, and it removes any risk at checkpoints or at the airport.

Do Children Need a Visa for Egypt?

Yes. Egypt has no age exemption. Every child, including an infant, needs:

  • Their own US passport. US passports for children under 16 are valid for only 5 years, so check the expiry date carefully against the 6-month rule.
  • Their own visa, at the same price as an adult's ($30 single-entry e-Visa or $30 on arrival in cash).

Each family member, child or adult, needs a separate e-Visa application. Dual US–Egyptian children have extra exit rules, which we explain under "Visa Tips for Families."

Which Egypt Visa Should US Travelers Choose?

Egypt Visa Should US Travelers Choose - Trips in Egypt.webp

Choosing your visa takes less time than choosing your hotel, but the right choice depends on how you are traveling. The three routes open to Americans are the e-Visa, the visa on arrival and a consular visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate.

Egypt e-Visa for US Citizens

The Egypt e-Visa is issued online through the government's only official portal, visa2egypt.gov.eg. According to the portal's own FAQ in 2026, the fees are:

e-Visa type Fee (USD) Valid for entry within Stay per entry
Single entry (tourism) $30 90 days from issue 30 days
Multiple entry (tourism) $65 180 days from issue 30 days

The portal asks you to apply at least 7 days before departure, and you pay by Visa or Mastercard. The approved visa arrives as a PDF by email.

Best for: first-time visitors, families, travelers landing late at night, and anyone who wants to skip the airport cash queue.

Beware of copycat sites. The State Department warns that "many sites claim to offer e-visas, some at double the price." Only the address ending in .gov.eg is official.

Egypt Visa on Arrival for Americans

US citizens can buy a single-entry, 30-day tourist visa on arrival. There are now two ways to do it, depending on where you land.

At Cairo International Airport (digital system, since August 2026) - Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launched a digital visa on arrival with a QR code at Cairo Airport on 1 August 2026. - You buy it through the official portal apps.visaonarrival.gov.eg, its mobile app, or self-service kiosks in the arrivals hall, and pay by Visa or Mastercard. - The State Department lists the card price as $36 ($30 visa plus a $6 service charge). - The QR code replaces the old paper sticker and is valid for 7 days from issue.

At other airports and entry points - The visa is still a sticker bought from bank counters before passport control. - The State Department gives the price as $30 in exact change, US dollar cash. - Bring crisp, recent bills. Older or torn notes are often refused.

The paper fee rose from $25 to $30 on 1 March 2026. That was the first increase in more than a decade. A December 2025 law raised the legal maximum to $45, but Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said that figure is a ceiling, not the fee actually charged. Expect the digital system to spread to other airports, so check the latest rules shortly before you fly.

Best for: travelers who decide late, or who prefer not to apply online.

e-Visa vs Visa on Arrival

  e-Visa (visa2egypt.gov.eg) Visa on arrival
Price $30 single / $65 multiple $30 cash, or $36 by card at Cairo Airport
When you get it Before you fly (apply 7+ days ahead) On landing
Payment Visa or Mastercard online Exact USD cash, or card at Cairo's digital system
Multiple entry Yes ($65) No, single entry only
Airport time Go straight to passport control Extra queue at the bank counter or kiosk
Risk Typos can cause problems at the airport Cash shortages, long queues at peak hours

Our verdict: for most Americans the e-Visa is the calmer choice. You land with everything settled, you pay the base price, and you can get a multiple-entry visa if your plans change.

Single-Entry vs Multiple-Entry Visa

A single-entry visa lets you enter Egypt once. As soon as you leave, even for one night in Jordan or any other nearby country, it is used up. A multiple-entry visa lets you leave and return as often as you like during its 180-day validity, staying up to 30 days each time.

Choose the multiple-entry option ($65 on the e-Visa portal) if you are:

  • Combining Egypt with Petra or the Holy Land, crossing at Taba or flying out and back.
  • Starting with a Red Sea holiday, flying abroad, then returning for a Nile River cruise.
  • Visiting Egypt twice within six months, for example once for the pyramids and once for the Abu Simbel Sun Festival.

Domestic flights inside Egypt, such as Cairo to Aswan or Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh, do not count as an exit. A single-entry visa covers them, as well as the sleeper trains between Cairo, Luxor and Aswan and road trips such as an overnight trip to Mount Sinai and St. Catherine from Cairo.

When Do Americans Need a Consular Visa?

Most Americans never need one, but you should apply at an Egyptian embassy or consulate before traveling if:

  • You hold a diplomatic or official passport and are traveling on official business.
  • You plan to work, study or do business in Egypt, which the tourist visa does not allow.
  • You have had visa problems before, or want certainty before a long trip. The State Department says US citizens "with visa issues, or arrival visa concerns, may apply for a visa at an Egyptian embassy or consulate before traveling."

The Egyptian Embassy in Washington, D.C. lists a tourist visa at $32 single entry and $67 multiple entry, with processing of at least 10 business days. You apply at the office that covers your state:

Office Address States covered
Embassy Consular Section, Washington, D.C. 3521 International Court NW DC, DE, FL, GA, MD, NC, SC, VA, WV
Consulate General, New York 866 United Nations Plaza, Suite 586 CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, PR, RI, VT
Consulate General, Chicago 180 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1150 IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MN, ND, NE, SD, WI
Consulate General, Houston 5718 Westheimer Rd., Suite 1350 AL, AR, CO, KS, LA, MO, MS, NM, OK, TN, TX
Consulate General, Los Angeles 6300 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1890 AK, AZ, CA, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY

A consular application needs a signed form, a 2×2-inch photo, your original passport with two copies of the data page, and copies of your round-trip ticket and hotel booking.

How to Apply for an Egypt e-Visa from the United States

How to Apply for an Egypt e-Visa from the United States - Trips in Egypt.webp
How to Apply for an Egypt e-Visa from the United States - Trips in Egypt

The application takes about 20 minutes if your documents are ready. Do it on a laptop rather than a phone, because the upload step is easier on a computer.

Step-by-Step e-Visa Application

  1. Open the official portal. Type visa2egypt.gov.eg directly into your browser instead of clicking a search ad. Ads often lead to resellers.
  2. Create an account with your email address and confirm it through the verification email.
  3. Start a new application. Choose Tourism, then Single Entry or Multiple Entries.
  4. Enter your personal details exactly as they appear in the machine-readable zone of your passport (the two lines of characters at the bottom of the photo page).
  5. Add your trip details: expected arrival date, port of entry (for example Cairo, Luxor, Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh) and your hotel or tour operator's address.
  6. Upload a scan of your passport photo page.
  7. Review every field, then pay by card.
  8. Wait for the approval email, then download the visa PDF.

Documents and Information You Need

Before you start, have the following ready:

  • A US passport valid for 6+ months from arrival, with a clear scan of the photo page (JPG or PNG; keep the file small, under 1 MB is safest).
  • A personal email address you check regularly.
  • Your arrival date and flight details.
  • Your first hotel's name and address in Egypt. If you are booked on one of our Egypt tour packages from the USA, our team sends you the hotel details to use.
  • A Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card that allows international online payments.

How Far in Advance Should You Apply?

The portal requires you to apply at least 7 days before departure. Many applications are approved within one to three days, but Egyptian government offices work Sunday to Thursday, so a Thursday-evening submission may wait through the weekend.

A sensible timeline for Americans:

  • 3 to 4 weeks before your flight: apply. The single-entry visa is valid for 90 days from issue, so applying early carries no risk.
  • 2 weeks before: if you have no reply, log in and check the status.
  • 1 week before: if there is still nothing, plan to buy the visa on arrival instead. It is equally valid.

How to Pay the Visa Fee

The e-Visa fee is charged in US dollars by Visa or Mastercard. A few tips:

  • Tell your bank you are paying a foreign government website. Some US cards block the charge as a fraud risk.
  • Use a card without foreign transaction fees if you have one.
  • The fee is non-refundable, even if you cancel your trip, so be sure of your dates and entry type before paying.
  • For visa on arrival at airports still using stickers, carry exact US dollar cash. Our article on how much it costs to travel to Egypt lists the other cash costs to budget for, and our tipping in Egypt guide explains why small bills are useful from your first hour.

How to Download and Print Your e-Visa

When your visa is approved, the portal emails you. Then:

  1. Log in and download the e-Visa PDF.
  2. Check every detail against your passport: name, passport number, date of birth, nationality and visa type.
  3. Print two copies. Keep one with your passport and one in your checked or carry-on bag.
  4. Save a copy offline on your phone in case you have no data on landing.

Immigration officers can verify the visa in their system, but airlines and officers often ask to see the printout, so do not rely on your phone alone.

Common Application Mistakes to Avoid

Mistake What to do instead
Using a third-party site that charges $50 to $100 Apply only at visa2egypt.gov.eg
Name typed differently from the passport Copy the machine-readable zone exactly. Leave out apostrophes (O'Brien becomes OBRIEN) and enter hyphenated names the way the passport's bottom line shows them
Passport expiring within 6 months of arrival Renew your US passport before you apply
Upload rejected Rename the file without spaces or symbols and reduce it below 1 MB
Choosing single entry for a trip with a Jordan or Israel side trip Choose multiple entry
Applying 2 to 3 days before the flight Apply 3 to 4 weeks ahead. If you are late, buy the visa on arrival
Not printing the visa Carry two paper copies

Egypt Visa Requirements, Fees and Validity for Americans

Egypt Visa Requirements, Fees and Validity for Americans - Trips in Egypt.webp
Egypt Visa Requirements, Fees and Validity for Americans - Trips in Egypt

The rules for Americans fit on a single page, but each one has small details that matter at the airport. Here they are, one by one.

Passport Validity Requirements

Your US passport must be:

  • Valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date. Count from the day you land, not the day you leave.
  • In good condition, with at least one blank visa page.
  • The same passport you used for your e-Visa application. If you renew your passport after applying, you need a new e-Visa.

US passport renewals can take several weeks, so check your expiry date before you book flights.

Egypt Visa Cost for US Citizens

Visa Where Price (October 2026)
e-Visa, single entry visa2egypt.gov.eg $30
e-Visa, multiple entry visa2egypt.gov.eg $65
Visa on arrival, digital QR Cairo International Airport $36 by card
Visa on arrival, sticker Other airports and ports $30 exact USD cash
Consular tourist visa, single / multiple Embassy or consulates in the US $32 / $67
Sinai Only stamp Sharm El Sheikh and South Sinai entry points Free (South Sinai resorts only)
Transit visa (EgyptAir, Air Cairo, Nile Air) Airline transit desk Free, if the program is still running

Older articles across the internet, including many published before March 2026, still quote $25 and $60. Those prices are no longer correct.

How Long Is the Visa Valid?

Validity (how long the visa can be used to enter) is different from your stay (how long you can remain after entering):

  • Single-entry e-Visa: must be used within 90 days of issue.
  • Multiple-entry e-Visa: can be used for entries within 180 days of issue.
  • Visa on arrival: used immediately on arrival. The Cairo QR code must be used within 7 days of issue.

How Many Days Can You Stay?

On any Egyptian tourist visa you can stay 30 days from your entry date, on each entry. If you land on 1 March, your last legal day is 30 March.

For itinerary ideas that fit comfortably inside 30 days, see our guides to whether 10 days is enough to explore Egypt and whether 8 days is enough, or browse our Egypt tours that include a Nile cruise, the 15-day Cairo, Nile cruise, Alexandria and Hurghada tour, and our 10-day Egypt itineraries.

Documents to Carry on Arrival

Keep this checklist in your carry-on, not your checked bag:

  • [ ] US passport (6+ months valid, 1+ blank page)
  • [ ] Two printed copies of your e-Visa, or exact USD cash ($30) for a sticker visa, or a working card for Cairo's digital visa
  • [ ] Return or onward flight ticket
  • [ ] First hotel booking, or your tour confirmation from your tour operator
  • [ ] Travel insurance details, including medical cover "If Desired"
  • [ ] Prescription medicines in their original packaging, with a doctor's letter, as the State Department advises
  • [ ] Proof of yellow fever vaccination, only if you are arriving from a yellow-fever-risk country

Cash limit: Egypt prohibits bringing in or taking out more than $10,000 in foreign currency, according to the State Department. Our what to pack for an Egypt vacation list covers everything else for your bag.

Can You Extend an Egypt Tourist Visa?

Yes. Extensions are handled inside Egypt by the Passports, Immigration and Nationality Administration. In Cairo the main office is in Abbassia. The old Mogamma building in Tahrir Square, still named in many older guides, no longer handles extensions.

What to expect:

  • Apply before your current visa expires.
  • Bring your passport, copies of the photo and visa pages, passport photos, proof of your address in Egypt, and the bank or exchange receipt the office asks for.
  • The fee and length of the extension are set by the office. Fees have changed several times, so ask on the day rather than relying on figures quoted online.
  • Be ready to return to collect your passport.

If you only need a few extra days, it is often simpler to plan your trip within 30 days, or to buy a multiple-entry visa and make a short trip abroad.

What Should US Travelers Know Before Entering Egypt?

What Should US Travelers Know Before Entering Egypt - Trips in Egypt.webp
What Should US Travelers Know Before Entering Egypt - Trips in Egypt

The pyramids have waited 4,500 years for you; the last half hour between your plane and your driver should be just as calm. Here is what happens at the border, and how the rules change for special situations.

What Happens at Egyptian Immigration?

On landing at Cairo, Luxor, Hurghada or another Egyptian airport, the steps are:

  1. Follow the signs to Arrivals and Passport Control.
  2. No e-Visa yet? At Cairo, buy the digital visa at the kiosks (by card). At other airports, buy the sticker visa at the bank counters before the immigration desks. Keep your receipt.
  3. Fill in the arrival card if you are given one on the plane or at the desks.
  4. Hand your passport and visa to the officer. They may ask where you are staying and how long. Answer simply and show your hotel or tour booking if asked.
  5. Collect your bags and pass customs. Bags are scanned, and drones are not allowed without a permit, so leave yours at home.

The State Department notes that "Egyptian immigration officials occasionally have denied entry to travelers without explanation," and that having a visa does not guarantee entry. In practice this is rare for tourists with tidy paperwork. Once you are through, our Cairo travel tips and our list of do's and don'ts in Egypt will help you settle in on your first day.

Travelers who book with Trips In Egypt are met by a representative holding a sign with their name, who helps with the visa queue and walks them to their car. It is one of the reasons Americans often choose a tailor-made Egypt tour for a first visit.

Entering Egypt Through the Taba Border

The Taba crossing links Eilat in Israel with Taba in South Sinai. The State Department says US citizens arriving at Taba "must obtain a visa ahead of time." At the border you have two options:

  • A free 14-day visa valid only in Sinai, which keeps you in the South Sinai resort zone.
  • A 30-day tourist visa for about $30 in exact USD cash, which requires a support letter from an Egyptian travel agency.

The simplest route is to arrive with an e-Visa already approved, ideally a multiple-entry one if you are combining Egypt and Israel or Jordan.

Before choosing an overland route, read the latest US Travel Advisory for Egypt. Since July 2025 it has been Level 2, "Exercise Increased Caution," but it still advises against travel to North and Central Sinai and calls Egypt's border areas military zones. Many Americans instead fly into Cairo and add South Sinai later by air, for example on our Cairo and Sharm El Sheikh luxury holiday or our 9-day Cairo, Alexandria and Sharm El Sheikh holiday.

Rules for US–Egyptian Dual Citizens

If you hold both nationalities, the rules change in three important ways:

  • Egypt treats you as Egyptian. The State Department states that "Egyptian law considers dual citizens to be solely Egyptian citizens," and the US Embassy's ability to help you is limited.
  • You do not need a tourist visa if you enter on a valid Egyptian passport or national ID. Use your US passport to leave and re-enter the United States.
  • Military service: Egyptian-American men aged 18 to 40 who have stayed in Egypt for more than 180 days must settle their military status before they are allowed to leave.

Also carry proof of the other parent's consent when leaving Egypt with a dual-national child (see Visa Tips for Families).

Diplomatic and Official Passport Holders

Americans traveling on a diplomatic or official passport for government business must get a visa before arrival. The State Department warns that travelers without one "may be denied entry" and can be held at the airport at their own expense. The Egyptian Embassy in Washington typically needs at least three weeks to process these requests.

If you hold such a passport but are traveling on vacation, the safest course is to travel on a regular tourist passport with an e-Visa.

What Happens If You Overstay?

Overstaying even by a day is something to avoid:

  • Fines are charged at the airport on departure. If you cannot pay, you may miss your flight.
  • Longer overstays can lead to larger fines, questioning and difficulty getting future Egyptian visas.
  • Some older guides mention a 14-day grace period. Do not rely on it, because current sources disagree and the rule may have changed.
  • If you lose your passport in Egypt, get a new one from the US Embassy in Cairo, then visit an Egyptian immigration office to have your entry stamp transferred before you can leave.

The best protection is simple: write your 30-day limit in your calendar the day you land, and request an extension in good time if you need one.

Visa Tips for Families

A family trip to Egypt is easier than many parents expect. A few visa-specific tips:

  • One passport and one visa per person, including babies. Families pay the same fee per child.
  • Submit all family applications on the same day, and print each visa separately.
  • Check children's passport expiry dates. Minors' US passports are valid for only five years and often expire unnoticed.
  • Dual-national children: the State Department notes that a US citizen leaving Egypt with a US–Egyptian child "may need to show proof of consent from the non-traveling Egyptian parent at the airport." Carry a signed letter and a copy of that parent's ID.
  • Use the e-Visa to avoid queuing at the bank counter with tired children after a long flight from the US.

Where to Check the Latest Entry Rules

Egypt's entry rules changed twice in 2026, with the March fee rise and the August QR-code visa at Cairo. Check these sources in the weeks before your trip:

  • visa2egypt.gov.eg: the only official e-Visa portal, with current fees.
  • apps.visaonarrival.gov.eg: the official digital visa on arrival for Cairo Airport.
  • travel.state.gov (Egypt page): US government entry rules and the Travel Advisory.
  • egyptembassy.net: the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, for consular visas.

Frequently Asked Questions About Egypt Visas for Americans

Can I get a visa on arrival in Luxor, Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh?

Yes. All of Egypt's main international airports issue tourist visas on arrival to US citizens. Outside Cairo, plan on paying $30 in exact US dollar cash at the bank counters before passport control, because the digital card system launched at Cairo first.

Is a visa needed for an Egypt shore excursion from a cruise ship?

Cruise passengers on a port call usually go ashore on a temporary landing permit arranged through the ship, but the rules depend on your cruise line. Ask your cruise line before you sail, and see our Egypt shore excursions for trips from Alexandria, Port Said, Sokhna and Safaga.

Does my US Global Entry or TSA PreCheck help in Egypt?

No. They are US programs only. In Egypt every visitor goes through the standard immigration line, so the e-Visa is the best way to save time.

Can I apply for an Egypt e-Visa with a US green card but a non-US passport?

The e-Visa depends on the passport you travel with, not your US residency. Check your own nationality on visa2egypt.gov.eg. The Egyptian Embassy lists green card holders separately for some consular and arrival visa cases.

Can I climb Mount Sinai on the free Sinai Only stamp?

The St. Catherine and Mount Sinai area has usually been accepted on the stamp, but checkpoints can apply the rules strictly, so a $30 full visa is the safer choice. Our Mount Sinai Egypt tours include the sunrise climb and the monastery visit.

Will I be asked about my itinerary at immigration?

Sometimes. Officers may ask where you are staying and for how long. Having your hotel or tour confirmation ready answers both questions in seconds.
